To guarantee this, our cows get farm-grown food – grown right on our farm – and all the fresh well water they want every day. We also have an open-stall barn, so the cows are not stuck in a tiny stall all day and can move around our huge eight-acre area.

In the morning, we pick up any feed the herd did not eat, put out fresh food, and constantly pump fresh well water into the barns. Plus, we have a separate milking parlor, nursery barn, and hospital barn. This allows us to keep pregnant cows separated, so they don’t have to worry about their calves in the herd, and we can keep sick and injured cows in another area so they can recover quickly.

Because we use the fresh food we grow, we know exactly what goes into our cows’ diet. We keep chemicals out of our feed, so they are healthier and produce higher quality milk for our dairy delivery in Rocky Hill.

How Local Milk Delivery Service Works

Signing up for a weekly subscription with The Modern Milkman is easy! You’ll first want to browse our website to learn more about the products we offer. Then, you can sign up for a weekly subscription and choose the items you want us to deliver. We offer three subscriptions: The Full Share allows you to pick six items, the Half Share gets you four items, and the Family Share allows you to choose eight items. You can also select additional products if you need something extra for a week.

You can choose from things like pastries, cheeses, eggs, butter, bagels, and more – all in addition to milk and other flavored milk.

Need to pause your subscription because you’re going out of town? Simply visit your online account to pause your milk delivery services for the week. You can also change the products in your order – just let us know at least three days before the local dairy delivery date.

  • Whole milk, 2% milk, and skim milk in glass half-gallon jugs from Oakridge Dairy

  • Whole milk, 2% milk, and skim milk in plastic gallon jugs from Guida’s Dairy

  • Chocolate milk in half-gallon containers

  • Quart of coffee milk, strawberry milk, or chocolate peanut butter milk

  • Heavy cream and half & half in quart bottles

  • 16-ounce containers of sour cream, cottage cheese, and chocolate pudding

  • 8-ounce package of cream cheese

  • 32-ounce container of whole milk non-homogenized yogurt

  • A dozen eggs

  • ½-pound salted butter

  • 4-pack brioche buns

  • 6-pack grinder rolls

  • Loaf of 7-grain Wecka bread

Additionally, you can choose from the following products (these flavors change weekly):

  • 16-ounce container of Skyr yogurt

  • 12-ounce container of cottage cheese dip

  • 6 ounces granola

  • 6-pack bagels

  • 8-pack cookies

  • Various sizes of cheese (the size changes weekly)

You can add any of these products to your order as a la carte items, or you can change your order as you see fit.
